DJI Dock 2 (Overseas Edition)

The DJI Dock 2 is a compact, weatherproof station that stores, charges and launches a DJI Matrice 3D or 3TD aircraft. It sits on a roof or a pad, opens its lid, flies the job you set up, then lands, recharges and waits for the next one. Nobody has to stand next to it.

The Dock 2 is rated IP55 against dust and water jets and works from -25 to 45 °C. Built in sensors track wind, rain, temperature and moisture, so the dock knows when conditions are outside its limits.

The aircraft flies from the dock and comes straight back to it. DJI rates the effective radius at up to 10 km, with the video link carried on O3 Enterprise and four antennas built into the dock. Real range depends on terrain, buildings and interference at your site, so ask us before you plan a job near the limit.

The dock uses RTK positioning and a position marker on the pad to bring the aircraft in on the centre of the ramp. Once it is down, the dock recharges the battery from 20% to 90% in about 32 minutes at 25 °C.

The Dock 2 is managed through DJI FlightHub 2. From there you plan routes, schedule missions, take manual control of the aircraft and camera when you need to, and review the results from any browser.

The Dock 2 is built around the DJI Matrice 3D series and works with no other aircraft.

• Matrice 3D. A wide camera with a 4/3 inch sensor and mechanical shutter, plus a tele camera. Built for mapping and survey work.
• Matrice 3TD. A wide, tele and thermal camera set. Built for security, inspection and search work.

Both fly for up to 50 minutes and are rated IP54. The aircraft is sold separately, so tell us which one you need.

The E-Port on the aircraft supports third party payloads such as a speaker or a spotlight, and DJI lists edge computing support through a separate module. Accessories are sold separately, and DJI notes some features are not supported on the Matrice 3D series, such as timelapse and hyperlapse.

The Dock 2 needs an open site with mains power and an internet connection. Plan for these before you order.

• One dock flies one aircraft, and the battery is not swapped automatically
• Check the CASA requirements for remote and automated flying before you buy

The dock and the aircraft are sold separately. We plan to offer a dock and aircraft bundle for purchase or lease. Ask us if you want to be told when it is ready.

The dock is large and heavy, so delivery is priced individually. Surcharges may apply to some consignments and are invoiced separately. Each dock is serial number registered to you.

Can it fly other DJI drones? No. The Dock 2 works with the DJI Matrice 3D and 3TD only.

Do I need FlightHub 2? DJI lists it as the software that controls the dock, so plan on it. We can quote it with the dock.

Does it come with the aircraft? The aircraft is sold separately. We can bundle it, so ask.

What happens in a power cut? A backup battery runs the dock on its own for more than five hours so the aircraft can be brought home. Charging, cooling and heating stop until power returns.

How is delivery charged? The dock is large and heavy, so delivery is priced individually. Surcharges may apply to some consignments and are invoiced separately.
