Drone Surveying

Precision Drone Surveying Services

Capture accurate aerial data and maps for farming, land management, and infrastructure projects.

Using an enterprise-grade RTK surveying drone, East Coast Drones is able to provide pinpoint accuracy while mapping with high-resolution RGB. Our services include aerial orthographic mapping, digital surface model mapping, precision control mapping, multispectral mapping, and aerial photography.

Precision Contour Mapping

Water management on farms requires accurate contour measurements for water flow, dams, and irrigation. Autonomous drones deliver maps with 1–2cm accuracy, displayed as contour lines or colour bands.

Aerial Orthographic Mapping

An orthophotograph is a corrected aerial photo with uniform scale. It provides accurate measurements free from distortion, ideal for mapping and distance calculations.

Digital Surface Model Mapping

DSMM shows the Earth’s surface and all objects on it. It’s used to analyse vegetation height, crop surface roughness, and growth variations between areas or varieties.

These services are invaluable when identifying issues you might not even be aware of. High-resolution maps provide advanced details of your property, saving you time and money while monitoring events such as plant health, erosion, site inspections, asset management, and map updates. In addition, having a bird’s-eye view of your land will afford you greater insight into how to better utilise your resources, helping you make informed decisions and improve how you plan and manage your work site.

Normal RGB cameras can be used to capture aerial views of property, plants, and animals, which can serve as a record of a place or event — for example, documenting the consequences of a weather event. They can also be used to count vegetation or to create 3D reconstructions of the property. Drones can be used to inspect and analyse a wide range of issues. These may include on-farm water structures or, off-farm, assets such as wind turbine blades, solar panels, water infrastructure, and power lines and towers.
